Curved and Rounded Number Shapes

This is very similar to the Curved Letters Prompt.

You'll Need:

The Print Out (or make your own)

Various Items

Directions:

Set up your area with the number cards. You will need items you can use to match the curves, such as play dough, stickers, pipe cleaners, pom pom, whatever you have on hand. Help your child get started if they need it. Play dough is wonderful to use as it builds fine motor skills and helps strengthen muscles for prewriting.

Further, you could have them sort which letters have a rounded or curved shape, and which are totally straight.

To go even further, once the numbers are lined, you can try to turn the numbers into animals by adding eyes, mouths, ears, legs, tails, whatever!
