Week 3- Pumpkins
Project: Shape Pumpkin Faces
Explore shapes and expressions with a pumpkin theme. Cut out or draw a large pumpkin shape on a piece of paper. Next, cut out shapes for your child to use to make eyes and a mouth for the pumpkin. You can make these shapes into actual pumpkin carving shapes, or use any shapes you have left over from other projects. Let your child explore and make different faces. Or, glue down when they have one they want to keep.

Week 4- Halloween
Creative Story Time
Make up your own Halloween stories! Think up a halloween character (ghost, monster, black cat, witch, etc). Then, go back and forth with your child to create an elaborate story. This could be by asking questions about the character (ex- what do they like to do, where do they live, what is their family like, what would they do on halloween, etc.. 'and then what?'), by drawing a picture and exploring what it is (how the character got there, what's going to happen next, etc), or even you could make your story based off of reading a halloween book you have. This is fun and silly and can be done multiple times a day even! See if your child wants to create a little picture story book based off their creation. Then have them read it to you!
