Exploring Fall Colors with Play dough

Who doesn't love play dough? For this art project, put out play dough in red, orange, yellow, and green. Click here for a play dough recipe. Since I started making our own play dough, I haven't stopped. It's cost effective, and guilt free to throw out weekly during cold season (image all the germs growing in that warm, moist, dark container- yikes).

Set out some of each color for each child. Let them explore with mixing the colors. You can totally start with 2 and add in, or let this be part of an open ended art table where you switch out the colors each week as the colors are changing from yellow-greens to orange-reds outside.

If you have joined our Curriculum, there is a print out included for spots to mix and observe.
