This is a fun quiet time activity that can be done with any word.
You'll need:
Paper
Markers or Paint
Scissors
Directions:
Write the word 'Halloween' on a piece of paper. Space out the letters and choose capital or lower case. Cut so each letter is it's own puzzle piece. Do different cuts so the pieces go together where they match. For example, you could do a diagonal cut, a curvy cut, a zig zag cut, or a puzzle piece type of cut. Make it simple so it's more obvious what goes where. You can add the word halloween on a piece of paper for your child to match the letters to, or not. You can color code the pieces so that each piece is two colors, that match up with the next letter. Ex, H could be red, A could be half red half orange, L could be half orange half yellow, etc. Do this if your child might need help matching the letters, or just to make it prettier! You can do this with any word, as it's so easy. Practice sight words, or name spelling. Doing this on cardboard will make it last longer.
