Pom Pom Apples

Writer's picture: Elizabeth GrussElizabeth Gruss

This is a fun fine motor and counting activity, that is pretty versatile.

You'll need:

Pom Poms (or similar, see end of directions)

Glue

Paper

Drawing utensil

Directions:

Let your child create apples by gluing pom poms onto the paper. There are a few ways to do this activity. You could have pom pom sized apples drawn onto the paper, and using tweezers, let them pick up the apples and place them in the spots. You could draw larger apples, numbered inside the drawing, one each for 1-5 or 1-10. The apples would be drawn big enough for that number of pom poms to fit inside. Your child would then glue the pom poms inside of the apples. Or, you can have your child glue the pom poms down to a green piece of paper, just practicing gluing skills. You also can cut the pom poms in half to make gluing easier.

Don't have pom poms? You can cut out apple shapes from cardboard, use red circle stickers, roll up pipe cleaners, or dye dried pasta. Have other suggestions? Comment below!
