Sensory Jar Pt 3

Writer's picture: Elizabeth GrussElizabeth Gruss

Part 3! How much fun has this been? You can keep going with this well beyond this week. Make it a game by having your child go around the house (or outside) and tell you what different objects feel, look, sound, and smell like. While eating, they can explain how they taste and the texture of what they're eating.

Keep going with your process from day one and two. Here are ideas for your jars:

Touch

-Rocks

-Sand

-Dirt

-Leaves or grass

-Sticks or pieces of branches

Hear

-Small rocks

-Dirt or sand

-Small sticks

-Dried leaves (listen to them while crumbling)

-Ice cubes, then pour hot water in and listen to it melt

-Dirt

-Flowers

-Bark

-Acorns or other tree nuts
