Stick Letters Game

Writer's picture: Elizabeth GrussElizabeth Gruss

This is a really fun learning game to play outside. Essentially, you are creating letters with sticks. Try a couple letters with the kids, then go forage for sticks for specific letters or letter shapes. You can print out letters to use as a prompt. This could be a great set up for a mud kitchen table as well. Give the children as much help as they may need. It's totally fine to show them and have them help you to start. Once they get the hang of it, they can decide where they'd like to take this. Writing their name? Perhaps on to letters next? Shapes? Animals?

Here is an example of what this might look like. If you'd like to purchase letter cards to print out, click here!
